The Grant -Getting Game

The workshop is an interactive simulation in which participants:

· Seek potential funders and funding opportunities

· Develop partnerships with other community players

· Write and submit proposals to funders, or

· Review and allocate funds to successful project designs.

Post-play discussion addresses the principles of successful project development and proposal submission.

The session will be conduced in English, with Hebrew translations. All materials will be available in both English and Hebrew. -

Fundraising for Jewish academia in Palestine started as early as 1908 with the first donation of$100K made by the Wisotzki Foundation, almost 16 years before Technion opened its gates to its first 17 students. Today an international setup of fundraising, operates as a highly efficient apparatus, raising annually hundreds of millions of dollars for Israel's universities.
